John Hughes 1950-2009

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Do you think when he directed Ferris he realized that that quote would be his epitaph?

...and Isaac Hayes - WTF?!

It's hard to believe, but Black Moses is dead.

Growing up listening to hip hops I was first put on to the fabulous world of soul and funk via the samples of this man's classic jams. The guy was not only good for composing and singing masterful slow jams, but he held his own on the silver (and blue) screen.

Below are a few of the classic jams that continue to inspire.

Return of the Mac...

...to the great spirit.

kick it!

That "kick it!" bit is too much. It gets me rolling every time. You can see Kid Capri laughing behind the tables as well.

The Mac man delivered the funny again when he stole the show in Chris rock's black president movie Head of State. Here is the funniest scene from the movie:

George Carlin RIP

Okay, Its 1991, and yet every joke is deadpan today. So funny, yet painful at the same time. Can't we require psych screening for high office. RIP

Stage 6 = Deaded

You may not have heard but Stage 6 is shutting down; I am pretty, pretty sad about it. If you act now, you can still get there nd download to your heart's content. I know that personally, all that Jordan Maxwell is getting on my hard drive - prrrronto!

I'd like to dedicate this next jam to the Stage 6, thanks for the memories!
