when disaster strikes
The internets have spoken: Clyde "The Glizide" Drexler and "Wild" Bill Walton possesses an equal amount of greatness. To me this is a shock, but if I think long and hard (no homo) about it it makes a ton of sense. Allow for a short breakdown:- Bill led the 1977 Blazers to their only Championship
- Clyde led the Blazers to two NBA Finals
- Bill is tall
- Clyde is bald
- Bill loves the greatful dead
- Clyde loves to rap (see exhibit A)
- Bill says funny things (e.g. "Tony Parker just made the worst pass in the history of Western civilization!")
- Clyde was on Married With Children with MC Bud Bundy
- Bill was all defensive team
- Clyde was all dunks team

blazers v. knicks
If you missed the game last night, let em say this: it was crazy. I thought the B's would come in their Garden of Roses and punish the Knicks; fortunately, for the fans, B-Roy (triple-double), Travis Outlaw and Stevie Blake played down to the Knicks level - shitty - for most of the game and squeeked out an overtime victory, complete with a Outlaw, last-five-seconds of regulation, overtime-forcing, jumper - dope.I never got why people were telling me Outlaw was the shizzle. After seeing dude play in the clutch, I finally understand.Something like a combination of Jerome Kersey - he does wear the 25 - mixed with a wide-eyed and young Robert Horry. Dude has made like three game winners/tiers this year alone. Definitely awesome.
A nice bonus was getting to see your boy Fred Jones back in the building. While he didn't perform that much, due to the strange relationship between Issiah Thomas and starting point guard Nate "Spud" Robinson, when he was in he made some crazy plays.
-ballin!-
Those few plays were almost as insane as the bizzare dunks delivered by the Knicks' power forward, only known as "Lee." Lee had probably three or four dunks in this game. his most remarkable was a put-back, reverse, one-hander from the off-side???? Nuts.Friday, February 1
B. Roy = All-Star
The Blazer's own Brandon Roy has been named to the 2008 All-Star reserve roster! I haven't seen little homie play that much, but I guess he is killing *ish. Here is a top ten plays that shows the quickness, strength and killer-crossovers previously only seen before in Kris Kross videos:The only time i have seen him in live-action came this week as he did well, but let LeBron drive by him for the winning lay-up late in the fouth. Granted, it's hard to guard L.B.J., and Roy could have used a bit of "help-side D," but a lay-up to win?! really?!
Fellow Blazermaniacs, if you missed it, I apologize in advance, and if you saw it, I would like to wallow in our collective depression over the following:
-bottom line: lebron is mad strong-

drexler drive diss
Rasheed might have smoked more blunts, but he doesn't have a street named after him in Portland and he never took the Blazers to the Championship. Clyde the Glide could easily burn him with a swivel dunk from the free throw line over Manute Bol while Rasheed is on the sidelines trying to bum a hit from Robert Parish's joint.

Sheed
Basically the best basketball player since "Big Smooth" Sam Perkins. Seriously, if you don't know about the prowess of the Wallace, as Clinton Sparks' little baby would say: "get familiar."Sheed on the receiving end of some ill Sabonis passes.
